Sorry if this has already been posted, but I found this review of the new 6.8 Western to be pretty interesting..

When I try to play that, it says: "An error occurred. Please try again later. (Playback ID: EFpr3W3yHnyLdkVX) Learn More"

I am curious why they didn’t go with a 6.5 or 7mm bullet instead. Seems both choices would have better ballistics long range vs a 6.8 bullet. I applaud ingenuity, but I would probably consider something similar in 7mm if I were looking for something new. Of course I’m biased as I love .284 bullets.

Probably because the market is saturated with 6.5 and 7.
And metric is the new fad. Plus it’s acceptable to be gay now days.

All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.

Nice overview that points to subtle differences which each loony has to figure out on their own.
