It's going to take pressure from the grassroots to cleanse the republican party. We keep trying to do it from the top down, and we keep on failing.
We'd like to get rid of the likes of John Cornyn in Texas, but we can't do it without lots of pressure from the ground up.
Are we too lazy to make these things happen? If we are, then maybe we deserve to lose. The libs have been making inroads by doing just this...and we just sit and watch, not comprehending. Amen, brother. We also got a newly elected Texas 23rd rep who showed his true colors on his 3rd day in office. Fortunately, he may not be that hard to replace as he only won his runoff by 46 or so votes.

Once they get in it's almost impossible to get them out.
My state went 8% for Trump in the last two elections, has Republicans in all state-wide offices, supermajorities of Republicans in both houses of the legislature, mostly Republican representatives, and a very good conservative senator (Rob Portman). Yet Senator Sherrod Brown, one of the most lib, keeps getting reelected every time he runs.
Don't blame me. I voted for Trump.
Democrats would burn this country to the ground, if they could rule over the ashes.
