On the left, not a great photo but a CZ550 585 wildcat based on a 3" nyati case. As big as I ever cared to abuse myself with. The stock was a target donor just to do load developement but it stayed in the end. Ugly ,heavy, but fun off the bench. Gun on riight unknown calibre owned by friend.
The grand 400 Whelen. Left handed model 70 action, Shilen barrel, Lyman 48 receiver sight, 400 grain Hawk and a moose cow. It's got a couple caribou to it's credit as well.
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,

That sure is all put together right for a 400 Whelen.
I think we've see enough pretty rifles... its time for an ugly one!
Here is my Zastava M70 in .458WM. It's fitted with a Hogue stock with the full aluminium bedding block and topped with a Leupold 1.5-4x20 in Warne rings and bases (not the Leupold one shown here). She's a 4 shotter (3 in the mag one in the chamber thanks to the bevelled extractor) and it shoots the big 550gn Woodleigh at 2080fps into the same hole at 50m.
It might not be pretty but it sure is functional and I LOVE it!
You'll probably never NEED a gun. In fact I hope you never do. BUT IF you do, you will probably need it worse than anything you've ever needed before in your life...
