So seeing as slow Joe seems to be locking things down and even sent congress home so they can't impeach him? Guess he is trying to last at least a month so he is not the shortest reign ever... I picked up a bag of assorted damaged knives at the show recently...

Some are missing screws and spacers (butterfly) some could use some of those finicky little hex head or torx screws replaced. One is missing pieces of metal inlay on the scales..

I have gotten the spring knives working but I could use some suggestions on sources for the little screws.

Also what is the best way to address the scale issue. (I will post a photo).

I'd like a thumb opener on one or two. Thoughts on adding?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks.
No one more specialized?
McMaster and Grainger websites are as bad as home depot.
I think they want to drive you bonkers so that you go to the store....

Anyone have experience with knifekits.com?
Not sure where they are based.
They only have a 1-877 phone number under contact us.

There is some stuff like standoffish designed by Steve Kelly and supposedly made in Montana, USA.

They seem to have lots holsters etc in the boneyard section.

Knifekits.com is a very good group to order from. While they sell a lot of kit knives and blades, they have a lot of specialized parts and supplies for knife makers. They are near Atlanta GA.Very fast service!

Thanks looks like they have a good selection of one armed bandit studs.
Some of their inventory categories look a little thin right now.
But after 2020 I am not surprised.

What is the proper term for the ?bolt that the catch pivots on on a butterfly knife?
Two torx-style counter-sunk screws penetrate the scales.

You might try Jantz Knifemaking Supply. They should carry just about everything you might need.

Anyone know what the silver inlay would be made of?
Figure Aluminum would oxidize. And it has to be soft right?
Otherwise it wouldn't wind up with a finish level with the wood. Right?
