Ugh!

My LGS still charges between $6 to $8 for 100 once-fireds. AAs are more while Fiocchis and 3” hulls run less.

Won't help a volume shooter, but Rocky Mountain Cartridge https://www.rockymountaincartridge.com makes very nice brass hulls and loading tools. Been using them for years.

FYI:

I've made 2.5" .410 brass hulls from .303 British and .444 Marlin brass. They worked in a Beretta Companion but the rims were too thick to work in a Savage 24DL. There are Youtube vids on how it is done.
