I finally got a nice CD I have been waiting for a long time. My wife has spent a lot of time trying to get pictures on the forum.

The text and pictures made it to the image gallery and she can't move them to Savage Collectors. Technology has moved

way beyond me.

The caliber is Sav. 303 and there is no lever boss stamp. The barrel address is from 1904 to 1911 and the Serial. number is 78.9XX.

Probably September, 1907 if it didn't get finished late.

Gosh, that’s a beautiful rifle. That one rifle just says Savage 99. It has everything. Very envious here.

Well done Bill. that one was worth the wait. wink

I don't think the rear sight is original but that is a minor point.

Hey Rick, I checked on correct rear sight for CD made in 1907, Looks like it's a Savage.#14 Rocky Mountain.

I might look for one. Hope to see you in Tulsa.

Nice rifle!

That is the first take-down 1899 CD that I've seen.
