This enclosed link is supposed to be Ruger's new catalog for Marlin. I certainly hope so.....A LOT TO BE EXCITED ABOUT. https://ruger-docs.s3.amazonaws.com/Marlin_Firearms.pdf

Be interesting to see the specs on their “full pressure” 45/70 ammo. Wonder if it’s going to be level II pressure or just top end trapdoor stuff.

I'm sure they have a marketing strategy. but I'd like to see them focus on good solid clean traditional models, good fit and finish, good barrels, decent plain walnut, instead of leading off with all the gimmicks.
Of course Ruger has a history of leading off with promotion long before production and products on the shelves. Time will tell.
Stupidity has its way, while its cousin, evil, runs rampant.

They sure look good in the pics! Just the fact that Ruger is finishing the year for Marlin instead of "doors closed forever" is awesome to me.
I would have got him too but a Dad Blam snow flake hit me in da eye....

Appreciate the link. (Amazon Web Services...oh...wait)
Noticed the 1895G and 1895GS are mentioned in catalog, but no mention of the 1895GS in the "SPECIFICATIONS" charts.

Umm, it's 2021 last I checked. Remington came out with the 150th anniversary models last year in 2020.

I was looking through this with hopes it was from Ruger, but I’m not so sure. It would be mighty fast for Ruger to have just acquired Marlin and to be cranking them out this fast.
When Ruger does get the ball rolling, I’ll be looking for quality. I hope they listen to us Marlin guys and expand the lineup with more classics and less gucci. And please don’t ruin them with warnings roll-stamped on the barrels like the Vaqueros smh.

Ruger already stated that they would not be getting rifles until 2nd half this year at best, which I think is still plenty fast. I wonder how many employees they managed to bring with them to KY.

Wish they'd chamber the 1894 in a Bee again, and a bolt 17wsm..

Ruger already stated that they would not be getting rifles until 2nd half this year at best, which I think is still plenty fast. I wonder how many employees they managed to bring with them to KY. Do you know where Ruger is going to build the Marlin line? I doubt that they have excess manufacturing capacity in Newport, NH. Remington didn't take many people from North Haven, CT, to either Ilion, NY, or Mayfield, KY, when they bought Marlin. The catalog is obviously last year's, 2020, catalog and is not an accurate reflection of the Marlin firearms that Ruger is going to keep making. I doubt that Ruger is going to make the Marlin bolt action and semi-auto rimfire rifles because they compete in the same market niche. If I was a betting man, I'd bet that Ruger is only going to keep the Marlin lever actions and may expand the number of options available to consumers. I would also look for Ruger to build non-cataloged limited runs of Marlins for wholesalers, like they do for Lipsey's.

375 win would be a dandy too

Cover says "New for 2020" this was probably printed before long Marlin was even sold.

I'm with my bad habit of not reading all Threads as they pile up. No 'dis' intended. Just the first predicate of Ruger-Marlin new catalog... Sounding more like from the horse's rectum than from his mouth! That mentioned "2020" date more than a clue! I'm also with the prior Post statement of hoping that Ruger will return Marlin to more traditional products lines. Fewer bells & whistles, more emphasis on quality & getting it right the first time. Seems likely to me, Ruger will start out with such. The Marlin 'gizmo-are-us' picture Remington created along with forty or so differing sub-models... Part of the problem, likely not of the solution! For now, give me a pre cross-bolt safety Marlin ANY DAY! Just my take! Be safe! John

Ruger has a history of moving slowly with new products. I remember it took three years for the Ruger over/unders to hit shelves. I would be surprised to see an production in 2021. But we can hope...

Waiting to see what Ruger does with Marlin, very hopeful. Would love to see a new run of the M1894 levergun in the 41 REM MAG.

i would be happy to see Ruger to have their Marlin division to build just the simple 22 L.R. 39A rifles again .i own 2 -39 A`s both are like new and safe queens so i would buy a few for grandkids and another 1 or 2 for me too. i am figuring with the new purchase of Marlin to Ruger ,Covid problems probably won`t see any new Marlins tell maybe 2022 ? but i wish Ruger the best of luck and i do feel Ruger will do a much better job than Remington ever did. Ruger people if you read this and think this for kids > Marlin 39 A`s 22 LR

Ruger/Marlin FAQs: https://www.ruger.com/dataProcess/customerService/#S20When will I be able to buy a Marlin manufactured by Ruger? Once the sale process is complete, we will begin the process of relocating Marlin Firearms assets to existing Ruger manufacturing facilities. Sometime after that, we will begin setting up production for new, Ruger-made, Marlin firearms. Our hope is to begin producing Marlin firearms sometime in the second half of 2021. Our intent is to keep true to the Marlin brand and ensure that its 150-year history and great products live on. Sign up for our email and newsletter list to receive notifications along the way.

Yes, my brother lives there. Ruger bought an existing facility and remodeled and retooled to make the Ruger American Rifle there. I think building the Marlins there will work well. Good area, good people there.

Yep good folks and workers down here. If they pay them decent and treat them with respect, you'll see some great guns.
Too often our non union southern workers are harassed and treated like dirt. I know, I live it daily.

FYI At this stage, because we do not have the parts, equipment, or expertise required to service existing, pre-Ruger, Marlin firearms, we cannot honor any warranty offered by the Remington Outdoor Company. We hope you understand the constraints that limit our ability to service firearms made prior to our acquisition. In the future, we certainly will offer service of Marlin firearms produced by Ruger utilizing the same high standards we have had in place for over 70 years. https://www.marlinfirearms.com/resources/owner-support
