The only rifle I regret selling was my Ithaca Model 49, a single-shot, lever action .22 LR back in 1970. It had an MSRP of about $22 back in 1961 and I got a whole 8$ for it.
Took that small fortune and headed west on my thumb. Made it to Seattle, down to LA and back to Iowa in the month I was gone.
In 2011 I found another one at a gun show. It was in pristine condition and I bought it without a second thought for $125.
There have been only two rifles I regret not buying/ The first was a beautiful pre-war German Mauser, sporterized. Could have had it for $125 as well but chose not to. Been kicking myself ever since.
The other was a stainless Ruger .270 Win in the skeleton boat -paddle stock for $225 at a gun show. Tried to get the seller to go to $215 and walked away when he wouldn't. Went back when the show opened the next morning and someone was already filling out the paperwork on it.

No, I'm not a Ruger bigot - just an unabashed fan of their revolvers, M77's and #1's.
A good .30-06 is a 99% solution.

WInchester Model 70 Classic in 30-06, maybe a 2006 made rifle. Sold that one to my best bud when I went off to Uni. He always liked it and takes good care of it so I ain't too busted up. It sees good use.
A Ruger 77 Mk1 7x57 Mauser round top, the one that takes weaver style bases, with iron sights. Don't remember why I sold that one. Visit from the good idea fairy I guess.

I've sold, traded and gave away tons of rifles. But the only one that really hurt was a 600 in .222. At the time I thought I had to step up to more power and traded for a 788 in 22-250. Missed the handy little booger ever since. So about 10 years ago I found one like new and put it in a HS stock and am complete again..... You can lower the scope by using standard Weaver two piece bases for Remington 600/660/XP-100. The cost for aluminum ones should be <$10. I bought a pair for new to me .300H&H. These work nicely with Weaver standard detachable rings. They are great and time tested by farmer-hunters aka Ole' Small Town Sodbusters.

I never sold a rifle, but gave my brother a Bushmaster M17. He doesn't seem to use it. So, I kinda wish I would have given him something else and hung on to that.

I regret selling a Winchester 9422M (magnum) as cheap as I did, but I don’t miss it.
I regret selling a bull barrel Ruger MkII, not because I thought it was as good or better than my Browning Buckmark, but because my wife bought it for me.

In a moment of weakness, I sold a mid-60's Browning Hi-Power. Dumb, I know. Also sold a 4-digit M-600 in .35 Rem... But a few yrs ago, I bought another just like it. Also sold a M-660 in 6.5 Rem Mag. Sold it for $350 and bought a 700-Bdl in 6.5 Rem Mag for $190... That was over 40 yrs ago... Recently sold the Bdl for over $2500... So I guess it worked out all right. I still want another High-Power, tho'

1983, 14 years old I traded a Mossberg pump (not a 500) and a Rem 572 on a Vanguard 243. They had been in a fire, reconditioned, them beat to hell. I got them cheap, added lawn mowing and lunch money to get a nice gun.
About 2 years ago I sold a Savage 270 to a young kid. Gave a guy $200 for it to bail him out of a bind. He knew he could buy it back, same money. But, after 5 years or so, I heard this kid wanted a 270. Told his dad the story, and I wanted to make $5. They were happy.
Oh, yeah. A cheap inline Dad picked up for me, I paid. Clunky thing, never shot it. Guy at work wanted one for his kid. Cheap. Was a Bass Pro package, I told him $10 over my cost. Was around $150.
Only guns I ever sold, do t miss them.
Now, the Model 15 LEO trade, bumps and bruises but perfect where it matters. $125 in 2008. And I walked away! The list goes on.
Parents who say they have good kids..Usually don't!

I sold one as well, as it wasn’t as accurate as some I’d read about. Neither was the CZ that replaced it. Would’ve been better to keep the 9422. They are very nice rifles, and also now very expensive rifles.
What fresh Hell is this?

A Ruger 77 International in .308 with a tang safety, it was an accurate rifle. Sold it and bought a Ruger #1 in 30.06, it however was an inaccurate POS that I couldn't get rid of fast enough.

scored a m77 mkii 6mm in an estate sale about 20 years ago, hunted with that gun for several years. I wanted reloading then and 6mm was hard to find...so I let it go. Wish I still had it, that thing was a laser on a whitetail.

I cannot repeat how much as it was stupid low Well, candy bars were <50c, new holmes, 30000 cars 4000,.....when the political dust settles in USA as HD guns these might be even more desirable than AR-15,.....That is tough for you Bob, I have no regrets for anything I used to own in the past. What I sold few years ago i just replaced, it is all good.

I have had this happen so very often. Having given to someone, at well below (1/4) market value an object, only to have them dismissively brag about it. It simply is a problem. One I've hit upon too often.
