Complete pass-through or bullet lodged under the far side crust? Leave a good syrup trail? What bullet weight works best?

Wounded waffles way back in the thick stuff can get pretty sticky. If you are determined to try that use a heavy-for-caliber mono-unsaturated slug so it'll grease right through.
