If we had some eggs, we'd have ham, and eggs, if we had some ham.
My mother used to say that.

Those fried eggs are way overdone. The yolk needs to be runny.

Eggs can be good cooked many ways and to many degrees, as long as the white isn't snot.

No runny yolks for me. If there is anything that I absolutely can't stand, it is an egg that is not cooked through and through.

I saw just yesterday on educational Tv, that the correct way to fry eggs is to put a lid on your skillet, and time how long to leave them according to your preference. According to those folks, with a lid on cooks the top of the egg without having to turn them. They put the eggs in a bowl and added salt and pepper before putting the eggs in the skillet. Seems that I have a new experiment to try. smile miles

Look out for number 1, don't step in number 2.

I always put just a 1/2 teaspoon or so of water in the pan before putting the lid on.

What cooks an egg without turning it over is using the spatula to flip hot bacon grease over the top. That way complete cooking of the white is achieved with nearly zero cooking of the yolk for a perfect sunny side up fried egg.

Flat lid vs doom lid works 10x better and faster. Piece of foil or sheet pan works in a pinch
