And like I said there. I think she married me for my horse, my dog, and she really liked this "pretend to be a 4x4" Toyota.

Same here, it'll be 54 years in June.

I was about a Senior in high school. My parents had bought a very nice registered female sheltie with plans of raising registered puppies for sale. My brother in the eighth grade had a large heeler male. When the sheltie hit her first heat cycle, the folks were in town doing errands, so my brother went and got the sheltie out of her kennel and put her down in front of his heeler.

Just as the dogs got tied up, Mom and Dad turned into the driveway. My brother about crapped his pants, but the deed was done and there the two dogs were when the folks stepped out of the car.

Anyway, a few weeks later, we are presented with eight cross bred puppies. Seven of them were covered with red freckles and actually pretty homely. The eighth was this pretty little female. I named her Missy.

By the time she was a year old, I could point to any one of fifty cows lying in the coral. Missy would walk over, get that one cow to her feet and put her in the barn for milking without disturbing any other cow in the herd. During the summer while irrigating, I taught her that pheasants were of particular interest. By the time she was eighteen months, she was reliably flushing birds for me, and staying within thirty yards of the muzzle.

She never failed to catch and stop any bird I knocked to the ground. But she refused to retrieve. It was a compromise I easily lived with.

Missy was eight years old when Dad took the picture on the snow.

In your wedding pic, you and your wife are the same height. In that picture with the toyota and kids, you tower over her by a foot or more. How'd that happen?

July 31st will be 29 years for me.

45 years here today for us

Congratulations. We’re newlyweds with just 30 years today.

39 for us last month, time really flies by.

Wife and I are both 5' 7". I usually gain a couple inches on her with my cowboy boots.

That pic is the only one I have to demonstrate the little Toyota which my future wife loved. That is its purpose for inclusion. On the day this photo was taken, my future wife was home caring for about fifteen kids. She babysat during the day to support herself.

I am on crutches.
The little girl is my 15 year old sister.
The boy is my 12 year old youngest brother.
The other two guys with the beers are my cousins.

Once she and I got involved, I seldom got to drive the Toyota because she always took it. I usually used the orange 6 cylinder 1971 Pontiac Ventura hatchback (Wow, what would that be worth today?) I bought her for my 35 mile commute.
