You're I'm sure a good man, but there are occasions when it can grab someone's attention or make a point of humor. My boys are teens--basically adults. When I say "No, I really meant it, clean up your fugging room!," they tend to do it more so than if I speak nicely after a third request.

It's a non-filter that more-intelligent and honest people occasionally use to express themselves in an intelligent way. People who are more filtered and appropriate often are more dishonest.
