$40 is insane. I spent this morning depriming and sizing 250 once fired cases. I got in 200 Hornady FTX 160 grain bullets yesterday. I have enough powder and primers. That works out to right at $17 a box of 20. I had to buy the once fired cases for just under .40 each, which put the price up a bit.

Just depends on if you think paying double is nuts or not.

I bought two boxes of Remington 170 grain Core-Lokt 30/30 in late October and paid $22.00 a box - thought that was crazy because I had last paid $12.00 a box, but I can't remember how far back that was. Now you cannot find factory ammo for 30/30 (or 243 WIN) at all. How much they're worth to you depends on whether or not you have a 30/30 you want to shoot.

It is crazy. They were only $12/ box on sale with rebate only a couple years ago.

I feel like the smartest man in the room - or the luckiest. I bought 35+ boxes of Federal Fusion 150 gr at WMT closeout for $4.00 er box a year or so ago... nah, I'm keeping them.

I have found federal Premium 150 grain for $29.95 a box and grabbed a few at that price I understand other folks comments above about what is it worth to you but at what point do you call it what it is price gouging
