here in my fair city, the Mayor and his cohorts want to immediately pay a 'guaranteed living wage' to ex cons. They intend to fund this insanity with a grant from some California commies, but after that, it's gonna be on the taxpayers. Wouldn't you know? 80% of the crime here is done by blacks.

If Sheila Jackson Lee wants to go that far back in history to the slavery days, what if I had zero ancestors in this country then? Earliest roots I have in America were on my mother's side when all of my great grandparents came here from Germany in the early to mid 1880's.. My dad's father & mother were both born & raised in Scotland and didn't get here until 1914 & 1919 respectively. None of my ancestors were here during slavery so do I get some kind of exemption ??

I don't know maybe some one owes them something but it ain't me. I'm thinking they have been paid their reparations already many times over. And us slave states were punished severely with the boot of the U.S. Army and government on our necks for decades. Maybe those 300,000+ White Yankee soldiers' heirs have a gripe but the negro race has been paid.
