If I was an elected representative and my state was experiencing a natural disaster across it’s entirety, I’d probably push that trip aside and let the people who got me elected know that I was doing everything I could to help. If for no reason other than it’s a really bad look. Which is all politicians care about anyways. And always will as long as the tax cattle line up around the block to pay them to fugg them over at every turn.
