All pizza is pretty good...even a $2 Jacks.

Agree with the Papa Murphy's sentiment, it's really outstanding.

Pizza is kind of like pussy. None of it is necessarily bad. Some is just better than others.

I totally miss the point of Papa Murphy's. A pizza place without an oven? I take home a raw pie, & cook it my own damned self? Regardless of what's on the pizza, my oven (a fairly nice one) doesn't get hot enough to cook the thing properly. I thought pizza places were s'poda have kick-ass ovens to put a crispy crust on the pies. Even if 'twere the greatest pie ever assembled, what good is it if it's just gonna get fcuked up in the bake?

I view it like steak: I go to the high end steak joint 'cause they have a salamander broiler that can blast that chunk o' meat with sufficient BTU's to get a great sear on the outside, without making the inside tough. Since I don't have one in my kitchen (yet), I'll buy their damned $65 steak.

In any event, I dunno from Detroit pizza, but for my $, Pizza Hut's other offerings are far from the worst I've had. Besides, my waist belies any airs of choosiness. blush

You know who has really good pizza in AZ?

Oregano’s.

I know there’s one in Tucson and I think another in Phoenix.

Outstanding.

IMO, pizza has 3 important ingredients - good textured crust. Good tasting sauce, and cheese that tastes more like it came from a dairy than from a bag.

Edit to add,....

I've never tasted Blantons.🙂

I was going to write what you said, but now I don't have to.

Pizzas now are factory items, not something made with any care, just like what happened to the hamburger.

Perhaps sadly I thought Geno's in Chicago was great but my favorite is still Hideaway Pizza in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Oh, I tried it. I even endured listening to all the hype from my buddies before 'twas ordered, and on the way to retrieve it, and on the way back, & while it languished in the oven.

It was much quieter when I went to make a sammich afterward...

Still, at least you've found a pizza you like. I've not had a pizza in about a year, as there's nothing worth bothering with nearby. Perhaps Shaman will come along & pass along some hidden gems in the area.

Same here. Like the self checkout line. Until I didn't wait behind 400 pounders and am out of the store in 1 minute.

Far and away the best chain joint and it's not close...

It's not bad at all.

Honestly, we make our own pizza these days....
