I thought of you two a couple weeks back. My buddy and I had to drop some schit off in an unfamiliar area and before leaving my buddy asked this guy if there was anywhere good for lunch. The guy replies "There's a food court in the mall next door and they have lots of options."
My buddy (who is a raging ass hole) replies "Pfffft. The fugkin' food court? Thanks anyway" and he walked off.
When I got to the truck I was laughing so GD hard. Oh man, could’ve got a $6 bowl of .35cent ramen noodles. LOL

Perhaps sadly I thought Geno's in Chicago was great but my favorite is still Hideaway Pizza in Stillwater, Oklahoma. For the win! Hideaway pizza is outstanding and is known worldwide. They ship partially cooked, then frozen pizzas all over the world, daily.

I lived most of my life 11 miles outside of Detroit, and later a buddy worked and than owned a Pizza place in Detroit, never heard of a Detroit pizza till about a year ago! I lived about 14 Mile road for years when I was a kid. I don't remember "Detroit Pizza" either. Chicago style - yeah. The thick stuff from Uno or Giordano's. Detroit Pizza? I thought that was Little Caesar's! LOL

As awful as it is to live in the people’s republik of Konnecticut we do have outstanding pizza. Modern PizzaNot trying to be a pizza snob but Pizza Hut was reserved for out of state vacations with young children (something cheap they would eat).

Papa Murphy's is absolutely the best pizza chain going..... It’s damn good. Surprisingly so. I totally miss the point of Papa Murphy’s. I did too. Until I tried it. The best part about Papa Murphy's is dipping the crust in the garlic butter.

If that's pizza, I'm Nigerian. I'd bet, that with all the transplanted New Yorkers down your way, it's not hard to find a decent pie. First of all, it's called pizza. Not "pie." Second, New York doesn't make good pizza. Chicago does. The best pizza comes from Connecticut.

There used to be a joint in the Midwest Center of Sport and Culture (and Cedar Rapids, too) called "Tomato Pie". I always thought that it sounded both stupid and repulsive.

When you google Modern the website comes up. Much better pizza than Mystic. Mystic isn’t bad for Eastern Connecticut but it ain’t like New Haven.
