Seeing sports book adds on TV recently with come on's like "bet $1 and win $100 if either team scores a 3-pointer. Focusing on both college and pro-sports. Others hint at a similar score if there's a field goal etc. Not a gambler here, but I'd think dropping a dollar on a 3-pointer would be a sure thing. Has to be some sort of out, or they'd obviously go broke. What's the real deal? Do we all loose if teams score more than one 3 pointer?

Las Vegas and the others trying to suck you in to watching blackball. Gamblers will watch anything that they have money on, increase the ratings. The last time I gambled probably 25 years ago there were 28-30 ways to bet on the super bowl. Go to horse race at least if you lose 2 bucks it buys a bale of hay.

Ya they hammering these adds in Ia. I think they said there was like 150 million wagered in Ia. in January. Would think they would give the casinos a run for their money. I heard the 100 dollar for a dollar thing and they said restrictions apply. One of them was 4 25 dollar bets. I bet they string them out over a few weeks time so you can burn money waiting for your next freebie

Was advised years back by a coworker that did very well on baseball to never bet on sports carrying point spreads.

They are just trying to persuade you to start betting on sports. Betting is a profitable business, of course. There is no doubt that you can earn big money on this. But you should know that you need to understand sports. You need to be a far-sighted enough person to bet on your team and win money. There are also those people who just bet money on favorites. They constantly lose because of this. And some lucky players know that the main thing is not your favorite team, but your winnings from a good bet. But I'm not from this group. They never bet on sports. I'd rather play poker, think about my game, than about football players, you know. If you are not familiar with casinos, just read the online casino guide. Who's sock puppet are you? Dragging up old threads with your 2nd post is oh so fuqking clever. 🙄
