Heh!

I wonder how many get that.

I just keep tossing them up there.

I ate a mallard once. Then there was that loonie, but she wasn't bad at all.

BillyGoatGruff: I have eaten Geoduck many times - it is wonderful fare!
I say DO NOT knock it til you have tried it.
Many northwesterners I know consider them a delicacy.
One of the only things I miss about the Pacific Northwest is the fresh seafood.

Geoduck neck, raw, sliced thin, has the snap and flavor of a slice of fresh brined cucumber.

My favorite is ceviche. Diced tomatoes, peppers, onion, lime juice, and raw minced geoduck.

Haven't dug them the last couple years. Good beaches are hard to come by and get access to.

Need to get on it. Kamo has had some on order for years. 🤔

Any sushi joint, west coast, east coast, wherever; when you check the box that says “Giant Surf Clam” that’s what you’re signing up for. Great stuff too. But, not a typically fresh item on the East coast. That’s a pacific thing. We have Quahog’s.

Grew up digging Gooey's near Gig Harbor. They go for huge bucks in Japan.

How do you find these critters?
Is there a burrow visible, or do you have to use a metal detector? 😉

Tomales Bay? Now that brings back memories. My dad and I used to fish Coho off Millerton Point in the 70's. I targeted the flounder that hung out in the shallows. Used to fish stripers right next to San Quentin. I was about 8 years old then.
