I think that you have to grow up in a certain area gooeygraphically to appreciate them, which, I guess, would make the issue somewhat gooeycentric. Back in the day, they probably drove Gooeys from General Motors and majored in gooeyometry or gooeyology.
Heh!
I wonder how many get that.
I just keep tossing them up there.

BillyGoatGruff: I have eaten Geoduck many times - it is wonderful fare! I say DO NOT knock it til you have tried it. Many northwesterners I know consider them a delicacy. One of the only things I miss about the Pacific Northwest is the fresh seafood. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

Any sushi joint, west coast, east coast, wherever; when you check the box that says “Giant Surf Clam” that’s what you’re signing up for. Great stuff too. But, not a typically fresh item on the East coast. That’s a pacific thing. We have Quahog’s.
North Coast/Tomales Bay oyster, mussel, abalone, crab and geoduc cioppino. Crusty loaf SF Boudin sourdough. Dago vino. It don't get no better.
Where do I sign up?
I'll even donate my share of the vino back to the party.
I have had good stuff there.... Dillon beach, Tomales Bay...... Good striper fishing to....... Beautiful area we frequent often......
Tomales Bay? Now that brings back memories. My dad and I used to fish Coho off Millerton Point in the 70's. I targeted the flounder that hung out in the shallows. Used to fish stripers right next to San Quentin. I was about 8 years old then.
