How many times in my life have I issued that warning? Yet, I failed to heed my own advise. 10, 15, 20 years ago- who knows- I sold my .32-20 mold when I divested myself of my last .32-20 rifle, a Lyman 3118 as I recall. Now, upon the cusp of buying my first ever .32-20 revolver (don't shoot me- they simply got past me) I find myself shopping for another such mold. Would that I had that mold back. The groceries I probably bought with the proceeds have long since been digested, but now I need that mold and wish I hadn't been so stupid as wanting to eat or something.

Word of advice: don't sell the mold. period.

I sold 4 molds over the years that I wished I had back. So now my thoughts are; never sell a mold or a set of dies.

My favorite moulds are old moulds. Sell them not.

Just getting into this game, myself. I needed another aspect of this hobby to keep my interest, right? And to spend money on. Note to self for the future, put it on the shelf and don't sell.

I won't sell a mold. I have a 457125 that a close friend borrowed but I don't think I will even do that again. He was one of the few you would trust to have your back if you had to clear a building. But let a few dies go as a youngster when trading rifles. I don't want to do that any more. I guess I won't say never. Be Well, RZ.

I sold a mold to someone here on the ‘Fire that I now wish I hadn’t. Don’t remember who bought the mold. A Lyman 410-459 that was my favorite 41 magnum bullet. I got out of the 41 magnum business, but would now like to have one (or two). They discontinued that bullet mold, so it can’t be replaced. I screwed up!

The only dies I'll sell are specialty dies that belong with a wildcat rifle being sold. How many times in that instance have I had to scrounge for dies because a rifle I bought didn't have the oddball dies it needed. That's one of my pet peeves.

They take up so little space. Well combined with all the others they do but... You might have to go custom on this one. Not many out there right now.

I've only sold one I purchased in the early 70's the Lyman # 410426 originally designed for the .401 Winchester self loading rifle however always favoring heavies for my handguns this 245 gr bullet turned out to be very deadly on venison launched via my 41 mag even in RN config.

I sold the mold to a friend who had used it for a few years then passed away only to buy it back from his wife later..

I've sold a couple of molds I would have kept now. I also sold a set of 9mm dies several yrs ago. I knew I'd never need them since you could but 9mm for $8.00 a box then. Lucky for me I have a couple of good friends that are casters also. I was just loaned a Lee 105 gr 6 cav 38/357 mold to try. Two short casting sessions cranked out over 1k bullets. I'll be set for the next yrs matches.
