As Canadian as it gets. Any curlers here?

Maybe when I retire-the Appleton Curling club is literally right down the street from me. It's something I've always kind of wanted to try.

Tried it once. Might be OK, but looking into it, it's as expensive as golf (especially once you count the bar bill) and it's a whole lot about business networking, neither of which I'm particularly interested in.

I think it should be banned entirely, too much violence, too many injuries. The die hard fans clearly have drug problems, frequent overdoses on No-Doze are common.

Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

I'd like to have a rock for a doorstop.

Frozen javex bottles, roaring fire & beer, make for an entertaining afternoon on a home rink.

Yes, but at least you can actually see the stones when it is televised, as opposed to a hockey puck.

A family friend told us they would curl on Wabigoon Lake with teakettles full of ice.

I don’t know if its true or not but I heard Curling was brought to Canada by Scottish Fur Traders with the Hudson Bay company. It was a way to get rid of cheap Rum.

I've always wanted to try it. I always thought of it as slo-motion bowling or shuffleboard on steroids. I used to watch it on CBC as a kid. I liked when they used the old brooms which "slapped" the ice more than the mini brooms that they squeegee back and forth now.

There was a news article in recent memory about building a curling rink in Traverse City.

Not Canadian, but I participated in curling in Victoria once. Had some drinks and a surprisingly good filet at the curling rink. Quite a fun evening.

When the kids were small --- dead give away. Mom -- Dad is going to have a nap, he has put curling on to watch. Just not a sport I could follow.

At 63, I am not old enough. I still play a bit of hockey, though.
