At first I was going to give it to one of my kids, it turns out they like 12 gauges. Then I thought my wife could shoot it. Now, I'm getting a semi-auto 20 gauge for her. Red letter huh. On ours the hammer was rather slick to get a grip on if you had cocked it on the way up only to find that the bird was a hen and had to lower it back down. We always made very sure that the barrel was pointed down at the ground if we needed to do so. (Good advice no matter what.) It did slip away from me one time doing this. Probably was a good experience as I became a real old lady about gun safety. Not a real member - just an ordinary guy who appreciates being able to hang around and say something once in awhile. Happily Trapped In the Past (Thanks, Joe) Not only a less than minimally educated person, but stupid and out of touch as well.
