"Hellfighters" is what made me want to be a fighter pilot, and I saw it when it came out. In Vietnam, the only movie we had at Ban Me Thuot was McClintock, which I saw (not watched) every damn night for months. It played while we drank and ignored it.

Channel 5 in Washington played Rio Lobo at least one a month when I was a kid, so that's my favorite. Followed neck and neck by Stagecoach and Sands of Iwo Jima. Not his best 3 films by any means.
I love Jack Elam in Rio Lobo.
