Considering getting a Big Horn Armory model 89 in 500s&w. Been thinking about one for whitetails and black bears in the woods of northeast PA. If I order one I would opt for the scout rail to mount a scope. What’s everyone’s thoughts on these rifles?

I've had one for about 5 years now. I have the longer barrel and with Skinner sights, lots of plinking and gong shooting but it's main job is to keep the yard safe. Our homestead is in between a river and a stream full of spawning salmon, the BHA has taken 2 brown bears messing with my wifes fish smokehouse and 2 trying to get at our chickens. Very shootable rifle and with 500gr Hornady's it's quite deadly.

I tend to use more than enough gun
