I got this old Blackhawk .44Mag. 4.5” barrel. It’s been painted or cerakoted black. It don’t look bad but it has a few defects. Don’t know much about the gun. Serial number check comes back 1969. Near old gun, shoots good. Not original finish and shows some wear. Be a super gun to carry to the woods and not worry about a scratch.

What’s a cash value or trade value?

Totally dependent on how much you think it's worth to buy a gun right now. "Fair" right now isn't what it was pre-election steal. Normal times...I'd say $200 tops. That's full retail at a high dollar show. It also assumes it works perfectly and has a decent bore.

I wouldn't want to be in it over $175 but it might bring $400 right now especially if you had a box of ammo to throw in and sweeten the deal.

As others have said, it has more value to a shooter than to a collector.

I get the impression somebody went through it and slicked it up. I see a non-standard base pin and the hammer has been jeweled, so I'd bet that it got an action job somewhere along the way. Has the barrel been Taylor throated?

If I actually wanted to sell it quickly versus sitting on it for a long time, I would put it up for 250-275. If you put it up for 400 it might take quite a long while, especially when ammo is hard to find.
