I knew implicitly, once you posted here, the truth of this shameful scam & that rattled me to the core.

Never paid much attention, and quite honestly never saw that thread. After y'all posted it I was surprised how many times he bumped it ttt. 8 times or so is a lot of bumping. A humble man would be more maybe once say "hey y'all, Im glad ya helped but if ya can lend a little more...." at least 8 times is more "I got these f'ers on the hook lets see what all I can get" ya know? Then I saw the diff names. His spelling seemed on point, how could you mess up your best buds wifes name?

You see it a lot with diff folks, changing vernacular to suit a certain thread or topic. But GG never strays. So it just seems odd that he would bump so many times and mess up a name.

Wish the man well if he truly has issues, but glad you brought up the scam KG.

Man, this schit got heavy in a hurry. I had no idea about any of this stuff.

Kamo has my respect, always has. I love his food threads and his pics of his lovely bride. He lives good.

I consider Jeff to be a good friend. I'll remain skeptical of any intent to scam.

Yeah KG, I thought I could read sign pretty well too. I ordered a few things from Cabelas for his burned out Bro and donated some stuff I had as well. It was Christmas time as I look back and I guess we all get in a benevolent mood that time of year. Now I feel a little stupid as I'm usually smarter than that. It didn't occur to me that he was roughly the same size as the items he asked for...repeatedly, in lengthy pm's.

This forum is a unique place. On the whole, there are some pretty solid dudes here. Most of whom, including myself, would've gladly helped out gg if he was in a tough place and simply stated as much, but don't piss in my ear and tell me it's raining.

Lesson learned. Sadly, any further requests for help are going to have far more scrutiny.

And that's a real sad part in all of this...

Taking advantage of people's good nature ruins it for the next individual that really needs help. That's a heck of a thing to have happened to you Kamo.

Like ingwe I pretty much ignored him, I think I remember why but not 100% and it was from about 10 years ago, I didn't see the scam thread originally because I didn't read his stuff by then, glad I missed it.
