Been looking for a 28 gauge shotgun and haven't found many "in stock"
But did locate a C Z Teal 28 gauge O & U at a local Cabela's.
Looks like a pretty nice little gun! Comes with 5 screw in chokes.
Was thinking about a Steven's O & U. The CZ looks like more quality, but a little more money.
It's about $850. for the C Z. I'm thinking "you get what you pay for "
Anyone running a C Z ? Thanks for any feedback!

Virgil, Here in Alaska, i use a bps upland special 12 gauge, the lady uses a cz woodcock 12 gauge. It's a step up from those bakail, stoeger, and Stevens garbage. The CZ over under shotguns are solid. Anyone who owns one has great things to say about em. Occasionally, you'll hear something negative about them from the fashion statement crowd. Theres a fella who kept track of every round through his. I lost track at 32,000 shotgun shells: https://www.shotgunworld.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?f=137&t=189338&start=2480

Thanks for the feedback!
I went and looked some more at the CZ
It ended up following me home!
I'm thinking it will serve my needs "just right"
I already have a BPS in .410, but "needed" a little bigger gun.
This 28 gauge should fill the bill just right, without having the kick of a 12 gauge.
Can't wait to pop a few birds with it!
P.S. I picked up three boxes of AA 7-1/2 shot for $12.99 per box while there.
Plus they had lots more in stock!

Picked this up yesterday. It’s a Redhead Premier All Terrain 20ga. Going to be my do-all for turkeys and whatever else I use a shotgun for, which generally these days ain’t much, but that could change. Coated in olive-green cerakote. Pretty stiff, came just about dry, so I greased it and anti-seized the tubes. Have a Briley extra-full tube on the way for TSS, but opinions vary on whether tungsten needs tighter or looser tubes for turkey. CZ recommends against steel in the F and IM factory tubes, but the guy from Apex ammo says they’ve run a lot of TSS in small sizes through tight chokes without issue. The Briley tube is okay for TSS.

Same style. Redhead has mechanical SS trigger, selective ejectors, steel receiver. Not sure about the others in the All Terrain series. Some are lightweight with aluminum receivers. This one is 6.9 pounds, or so they claim.
Good concept IMO. Doubles don’t have to be all glittery and shiny. I like the quiet operation, instant choice of choke and/or load, and short OAL. Very practical.

Another one folks seem to not like is the Huglu, (they make the CZ) Might be a few of them around at a cheaper price. I have one in 12 gauge, a solid beautifully built shotgun.

I've had both the Stevens and CZ, both in 20 ga.. The Stevens didn't last one season of casual trap shooting before things started to really loosen up. I got it fixed and sent it down the road. I replaced it with a CZ Redhead Deluxe and it's a really solid built gun. You can really see and feel the difference when you compare them side by side.

Seems that the Turks are like the Chinese. They can make good stuff if held accountable by the folks who are going to sell it. I figured $1000 should be enough to buy a solid, no frills gun, and trust CZ to back it.

Thanks for all the feedback guys!
Sure glad I talked myself into the C Z instead of getting the Stevens. For about $200. more, I think I got at least twice the gun.

We get some sunshine soon I’ll get mine out for pics. The colors in the stock will go from ‘golden blonde’ to ‘caramel’ depending on the angle.

Was checking the specs on my new CZ.
Right at 6 lbs! I thought it felt pretty light!
With 28" barrels, it still swings and points very well.
Got my first "kill" with it yesterday..... "Had" a ground squirrel eating my bird seed. (GRIN!)
