What you need to do Jim is free yourself of livestock for a entire year. Find a crop or plant extra to replace that income. Or something that dont require alot of day to day looking over. Now mind you I'm not a farmer or rancher at all. And I have no idea of what you are bound too. Get a crop in running on auto pilot. Weather is gonna happen anyways aint nothing you can do about that. Take your self , wife , kids, and dogs and get the fugg off the Hi line for a 2 week vacation away from your life on it. Or find someone who feed the dogs once a day. You need a respite from farming brother You family needs it too. At least for a week if ya can swing it. Fugg even a camping trip to the mountains would be a break from the 360 horizon for ya man.
