They were going to plant a tree in that gravel? It doesn’t look like a cactus would grow there.

Could a "survivalist" person have lived at the house before? Could they have forgotten them?
The AR could have been cleaned up and a new barrel and bolt added. Both the top and bottom receiver are aluminum, so rebuilding could be done. Some of the steel ones were rusted. Maybe it was just surface rust. Yeah, if I found them, I would be cleaning them up and see if they were serviceable. Finders keepers.
It's Phoenix. Cartels or gangs.

The reason they were just dumped in duffle bags is because they were used in the commission of a crime...or more likely, crimes. Very likely. And keeping, selling, shooting, or bragging about finding guns like that could well get a person in jail or have to shell out a lot of money to stay out. Those guns would have only spelled trouble to me.
We may know the time Ben Carson lied, but does anyone know the time Hillary Clinton told the truth?

The reason they were just dumped in duffle bags is because they were used in the commission of a crime...or more likely, crimes. Makes sense to me. If the party who buried them intended to ever recover them, the firearms would not have been buried in a duffel bag. I think they were meant to never be seen again.
