Looks like you can buy the cheekpiece as an accessory now, might have to look into that.

I'm not a big Tikka fan, but the Forest model looks pretty sharp. (Though there's something just not right about a walnut/blued gun with a plastic trigger guard.)

I’m not a fan of any of the wood stocked Tikkas. Winchester is another story..

There is a 6.5 PRC finally for those wanting them. I was hoping for a 6 CM as well.

Seeing as how I can find 6mm CM and 6mm bullets on the shelf right now, it was probably a wise decision from a profit standpoint.

I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Probably never will . . . . Just sayin' I'm sure you are right, that is why I had a 264 built on a Tikka action. The 264 gets no love, but it is bad ass!

IMHO Tikka offers the best value for an accurate rifle righto out of the box. Clearly they know what they are doing.

If you have ever looked at the older Tikkas from back in the 1980s, those were the real nice ones...
The actions were even much smoother than a well worn 30/40 Krag action

I have both a wood stocked Tikka and a Win. Model 70. Actually prefer the Tikka and probably shoots better Win. too.

I just don't get the lack of finish on a walnut gun that's clearly not intended to be weatherproof. How hard would *metal* bottom metal be on just the walnut/blued that they're billing as traditional?? (And you kids get off my lawn!!! 😇😂)

It looks like they also added the 7/08 to the roughtech and wideland models.

This thread makes me want another Superlite stainless in .300 Win, (I know a .300 Win is a "powder hog" and this is a bad time for that ) I think this time ill buy a Cabelas model with the cool camo stock 😁....Hb
