Green beans, cucumbers, radishes, squash, all busting thru the dirt!

It would be in Iowa!

One interesting thing about this place is the range of geography.

I planted some outside garden this past Thursday. Green peas, potatoes, both red and white, and some sweet corn. It's a gamble on the corn, but the peas and taters should be fine.

Ours is too wet to do anything. When it dries out some, I'll disk it. Last year it was the first of June before we were dry enough to plant. I was picking peas in August.

Thank you sir!

Got my cucumbers over on the fence. Hopefully they will run up the cattle panel sides. Also planted a few bottle gourds and they should do the same.

Our last frost date is May 23rd or so with a 10% chance of frost after that. If you are a risk taker with above ground plants you could plant as early as April 27.

It is never too early to plant your corn the first time.

We planted Sugar Snap Peas 9 days ago and they are about 1/2" tall. We got 3" of rain and it is a bit cold, but the wife sais they do fine in the cold. We never planted this early . We will have a little more garden this year due to the price of food that is likely going to go up this year.
