Started out with SP in the .30 Sneezer and recently switched to SR. Velocity bump of 35-50 fps, ES is reduced by half or a bit better, depending on powder.

It has been a long time so I don't remember the load particulars, but my S&W Model 28 and my Ruger Bisley 357 magnums did just fine with small rifle primers, regular and magnum.
