I had a Yokohama blow out on me Thursday on I-40 at 75 mph. It did extensive damage [ABS plumbing, quarter panel, rocker panel, door, running board and even tried to rip my bumper off the frame which tore the welds ]to my rig and nearly caused me to wreck. It is the 3rd tire from this batch that has separated.

The tire store told me that the cause was using 285/75/16s on factory 7" wheels. I told them that they put them on and even gave me Goodyear Wranglers as the warranty tires for the last two in the same size.

They agreed to give me 4 new tires (in 265 this time) as long as I paid the mounting/balancing.

I told them I wanted someone to pay for the damage to my truck. They filled out a claim sheet and FedExed the tire to Yokohama.

Has anyone ever had any dealings with Yokohama? I had a firestone do this and they eventually wrote me a check. Firestone made me send the tire in myself that time.

Thanks

Dennis
