On Jan 19, 2021 I was paying $1.79 a gallon for unleaded here in Amarillo. Today I paid $2.46 a gallon. That is more than a 60 cent per gallon increase since China Joe and Camel Toe took over. Can one of the resident LIBs tell me why an increase in gas prices is a good thing for the nation?

Yes we hit $3.09 yesterday, at 12 noon it was $2.99, at 5 pm it was $3.09

It is flipping mind numbing that anybody could have voted for biden. I am pissed that I have to witness the destruction of the country I love.

And BTW, we have had to pay $2.79 a gallon here in Pa. for over the last year with dems in power. Sucks our votes mean nothing.

It's all a part of the Green New Deal. They will keep raising the price of gasoline/diesel until the people will no longer be able to afford it at all and will gladly welcome the edict that forces them to buy little electric tin cans for their transportation. I read this morning somewhere that Oregon now wants to ban all internal combustion powered vehicles by 2026 or so. We have SO much to look forward to.

Here is another take on this thread. Last year I payed .96 a gallon. I even got 3 cents off that yet . We can not keep expecting to pay a price for the most valuable commodity on earth and that is energy. I quoted EDM, cause he worked in the oil patch. These people need a decent wage and so do the energy companies. We forget real fast that we were paying less than a buck a gallon when it hits 3 bucks, but it averages out to 2 bucks. We are likely going into a " super cycle" when it comes to commodities cause it was so low for so long. Oil, lumber, copper, LAND is really getting high too. We had it cheap for a long time and now it is going to be over valued as much as it has been under valued. I will miss my 1 dollars a gallon, but I did make a lot of my money back in energy stocks that I lost last year. I wear both hats in this game. I make money when its high and save when its low.

The quickest way to stall the economy is to increase energy prices. The increases equate to a tax that pulls dollars out of all other sectors of the economy. A screeching halt to the economy is exactly what the lefties want.

as much as i hate biden and company, what exactly did they do to cause this? isn't this all because of the price of crude going up after depressed demand driving prices down last year and now increased demand this year? and also refinery issues in texas recently? idk, i ain't the smartest guy around but i haven't seen where the schitheads have done anything to cause higher gas prices. yet

A simple fact that escapes many here on this perpetually misunderstood subject. OPEC has also agreed to keep their production cuts in place through April, which helped send prices higher yet.
