I'm not going to buy a high pressure compressor to feed a PCP and a hand pump for a large tank PCP isn't calling me either.
I was intrigued when FX was selling the Indy and the Independence with the built in pump but $1800 was too much.
I'm seeing the Seneca Aspen in .22 and .25 for $300 with a built in pump.

The advantages of a PCP but it's self contained ... I'm intrigued, again!

Have you tried one? Reviews? Am I missing something?

Several reviewers say the internal pump fails or locks up after some use. I like the idea of it. Maybe they will improve it. Is Seneca still making it? Airgun Depot shows pre-order only. I just checked one place.

Midway has 1-22 and 1-25 but I agree, the pump is a bit too fragile.

I like the idea but I think I'll wait to see if they make a newer generation.

My springers and gas rams are lifetime warranty so a one year warranty doesn't inspire too much confidence...

I was looking it over a while back, YT vids and reviews on retailers websites.

I too noticed a lot of instances of pump failure. I gave it a pass.

Now I'm hand pumping an Air Venturi Avenger. It's not as tedious or difficult as I had imagined.

With the Aspen, the geometry of the pumping action is going to be all upper body strength.

With the standard style hand pump, the effort is mostly just body weight coming down.
