who are the pre-64 M70 collectors around the country of investment grade factory rifles? Not talking about guys who are flipping them, but the serious collectors/investors. thank you.

Someone here knows, but you are mistaken if you think they are going to volunteer that info on a public forum.

If you have perhaps millions invested in high grade guns, you want your name given out to any with a computer?

Agreeing with replies +10 in mainstream context of "serious collector". Expanding that to "X" as representing about anything of value accumulated in big bucks context.

My question back, "What's it to you?" Perhaps if you expand, some such type to reach out to you. IF simply guns for sale and to "cut out middle man", those persons also playing important role beyond just hooking buyers & sellers.

Point to ponder!

According to OP's criteria, his question was of "collectors" not folks "in the business". Just a point of order in terms of response!

The question about serious collectors of high end model 70's would be answered in the Rifleman's Rifle, but that book is 30 plus years old and probably a lot of those guys are collecting model 70's in heaven. The serious collectors, with high dollar guns do not advertise their whereabouts, nor will I. Those guys are the same guys who caused the BATFE to not include C&R licenses to be included in the FFL E-Z check system, as they didn't want the location of their collections to be public knowledge. I for one wish that it would be an option for C&R holders to be in the E-Z check system, but that is not the way it is.

Please no! I get that you would like it to perhaps be an option but the C&R FFL is one of the few things the ATF does that is truly a good deal. Make it an option and soon it would be mandatory and I'm sure they would then find a way to charge us for it and we would be subject to all the delays people are experiencing today.

With the goal of the E-Z check to be reducing the odds of someone that can't legally have a gun getting one. I don't me as an C&R holder either buying or selling as something that needs "fixed".

The E-Z check is for verifying if an FFL is valid. It has nothing to do with NICS checks.
