Does anyone have any good ideas for mounting a Holosun or other reflex sight on my Henry Model X?

The goal would be to have it as low as possible as the stock is shaped for open sights.

I have already tried mounting an EOTECH with a weaver rail and it was way to high and I am afraid that the Holosun with the weaver rail is also going to be too tall as well.

It would be great to see what someone else has done and how low a sight can be mounted

I am not familiar with the Henrys so I don't know how much top strap there is to work with, but usually in the pistol world cases like this end up need a flat top milled and drilled for a direct red dot mount. That gets you the absolute lowest sight possible, and holosuns sit pretty low if there's no adapter plate under them.
