I also picked one up awhile ago. Good scope for the money and not made in China.

Mine came in yesterday. I really like it overall, but the power ring is REALLY stiff. Anyone else hard to turn?

I’ll learn to live with it, but was hoping maybe a throw lever was available. Can’t find one (at least not at anything resembling a reasonable price)..

I had the same thought with the throw lever, but no luck as well.

I got a Burris MTAC 4.5-14x42 recently with a super stiff mag ring, and I hate plastic/polymer throw levers. Found this on Amazon and it fit it perfectly. Take a caliper to your E1 and check. There are two sizes with a good bit of adjustment in each, the smaller one fit my MTAC. https://www.amazon.com/WestHunter-O...hrow+lever&qid=1617914535&sr=8-1

Back in stock if you are interested Do these scopes have a zero stop? No. They are not made for dialing in the field.
I probably hit more elk with a pickup than you have with a rifle. I have yet to see anyone claim Leupold has never had to fix an optic. I know I have sent a few back. 2 MK 6s, a VX-6, and 3 VX-111s.

They are a capped turret that you can reset the dial to zero after sight in. Shouldn’t be an issue to dial in the field. The fullfield II is a set and forget.

The .270 is the greatest hunting catridge ever designed. To dispute this fact is to only justify our loonieism in owning and hunting with inferior cartridges.

Thank you!! Been looking for some with the “standard” plex, rather than the E1 reticle. Got one of the E1 3-9x from Cabela’s (first purchase from them in years). Not a bad scope, but that etched reticle is too small, and too easy to lose in the woods/dark.
The standard reticle on the 4.5-14 you posted is the ticket! Don't be fooled by what he posted. Burris has posted that reticle since they debuted, but it does not look like that. It is the small reticle. Like this one: The scope wouldn't be bad, if it indeed had the full size FFII ballistic plex reticle (what is pictured in the link). With the small ballistic plex reticle, you couldn't give me the pos.. Anyone who buys it, can confirm if it has the reticle pictured in the link, or the one I pictured.
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Mine showed up today. It’s the regular ballistic plex (NOT the E1). Reticle goes all the way across field of view (NOT the “floating” E1). Well, that is great news. Its about time they use the old tried and true ballistic plex reticle in these scopes.
