Found some 140 E Tips to try in my 708. No luck finding partitions or ballistic tips. Any loading hints for these? Do they require jump or like to be close to lands?

Sample of one but I found them to shoot to the same POI and more or less the same size groups as Partitions, when seated to the same OAL as the same weight Partitions.
As I said, sample of one, because I only use them in one rifle but they’ve been outstanding.

Good to hear. Haven't tried partitions yet.....I plan to seat them close .005 off lands and work back.

They generate higher pressures than some other bullets, but this may have been more true when they had fewer relief grooves. I load them like Barnes with some jump and stop short of the maximum load by half to one grain depending on the case size.

I’d start with 0.05” back and work further away if needed. I use the 140 etips in my 7-08. I like them

Keep in mine these bullets are long for their weight.The only ones I've shot are the 180gr 30cal.The 180gr is about the same length as my 200gr Accubonds.That is one reason you should reduce your load a little for the bullet weight because of the long bearing surface.

Definitely will work up. I will start well below max. I read up on them, they claim less pressure but I keep hearing the opposite?

They were supposedly coated with Lubanox or something that supposedly reduces pressure. The ones I got are non banded.

Nosler #9 has a note on E-Tips. Due to internal construction differences always begin with starting loads when using E-Tip products.
