Any loads that work to look at?

My Fieldcraft 6.5 CM gets 41.5 H4350 or 42.5 RE16 with 139 - 143 grain bullets.

I have a rifle that won't shoot any 140's great. It is a killer with 123 Scenars and Varget. In Lapua brass about 39 grains of Varget will move it 2900 fps in my 24 in barrel

123 Scenars over Varget is hard to beat. And the Scenar has good terminal performance on WT’s and such.

I’m at 41.8 H4350 with the 140 ELDM , 143eldx , and 140 tgk.
Seems like most end up between 41 and 42 .

I'm at 42 1/2 H4350 with the Nosler 130gr Acu-bond, one hole groups and lights out on Deer & Antelope.

I run 40 grains H4350. Nosler custom competition. It’s not fast. But very accurate.

That's usually where I end up. With an accurate load and not chasing speed. Most deer I've seen don't know the difference between 2600 and 2800 fps.

I have two Creedmoors that do the same, 41.5gr H4350 with 140-class bullet seems to be consistently good with my rifles. Looks like I can bump up my RL-16 loads a bit...

42.0 of RL16 and 140gr SST's has been very consistent and accurate for me lately. I also like 41.0 H4350 and 130gr. Sierra Gamechangers. 41.0 of RL16 with Speer HotCore 140's was surprisingly accurate for cheap bullets (wish I could find more). All of the above loads have produced multiple 1/2" or less 3 shot groups (occasional 1 holers) and have been my most consistent loads. Shooting a Bergara B-14 Woodsman - stock hunting rifle with a recent Burris Signature 3-15x44 scope. Mostly tailgate groups - rig may be even better with a good rest and better shooter.

The 41 and 41.5 grains of 4350 and berger hunter 140s was 1.25 and 1.375 respectively. Seems when this barrel gets any kind of warm or fouled it starts throwing flyers.

I noticed the same phenomenon with factory ammo around 6 or 7 shots.

New plan...3 shot groups for testing and clean the barrel between each 3 shot group for consistency purposes.

After trying different powders and bullets, H4350 (41.5gr) and 140gr Speers gave sub-moa groups in my rebarreled Sako and my Savage 99. Nothing fancy, but it works.

I’d not suffer a barrel that I had to clean after three shots to get it to shoot. I guess if anything, you’ll be replacing it pretty quickly with that much cleaning.

Ive done well with 42-42.1 grain of H4350 under the 140 Nosler RDF when the bullets were .050-.065 off the lands. Accuracy improved compared to closer. When I ran them further off, accuracy was still good, but velocity slowly tapered down. Was getting right at 2800 fps from a 26" barrel. Accuracy was half inch or less, but thats all the better I can shoot that rifle, so you may do better.

After reading the lightweight rifle thread I tried a few of the techniques as well as using the lead sled. Towel under forend, down pressure on scope and really took my time on the trigger. End result was a great group with 42gr of H4350 and a 130gr Sierra TGK. Happy with that group and load for my purposes. Wasnt the barrel as much as it was me..
