Nowadays when I'm out hiking with the dogs it seems couples among the 35 and under crowd are a distinct minority. Most often women are in the company of other women. Ain't saying they are lesbians, but they are choosing to socialize with women friends.
Pre Covid I'd join communal bike rides downtown, couple of hundred bicycles, again few couples, mostly single folks 35 and under, lots of women, very few kids.
I don't think guys have changed much, mostly women.
It ain't just my opinion, declining marriage and birth rates tell the story.

I have recent experience in a hospital, and regular trips to the local clinic. I have always been treated like I was really somebody, all nurses I have met have been very nice to me. Could have something to do with me always treating THEM with respect and a smile.
In my experience, folks tend to give back what they get.
A couple years ago, I spent three days in the hospital with gall bladder issues. My nurses treated me like I was their beloved grandpa. If they had to hold grandpa's dick and aim it into a urinal.
One lovely young lady (RN) was so sweet that upon release I had my wife drive me down to the florist so I could take a bouquet back to the hospital.
This fall, my wife had a hip replacement. Her RN's treated her and me with equal care and consideration. In my experience, our local hospitals do not employ any bitches. That includes the RNs and goes all the way down to the lab techs and phlebotomists.
