There is more than one way to catch a trout. Every fish was caught with a little different method. All of them caught within the last week or so. Good week to say the least. Caught this big old male by stripping an olive leech. He put up a great battle. Several times I thought he might win. Caught this toad using a marabou jig and a jigging rod. This mouthy bugger was fooled by a midge under an indicator. Last but not least, I landed this one yesterday evening after work on a hare's ear nymph.
Is it Friday yet?

Yessir, it is down low. All the mountain lakes are still good and frozen though. So this weekend I will probably fly fish one day and then ice fish before the weekend is over.

Appreciate all the comments guys. It's nice to know someone actually takes a look at these pics once in a while. The pics are excellent Troy, and you are the prime example of the 5% of the fishermen who catch 95% of the fish. Keep 'em coming!

Nice. 👍 I swear Montana’s got the best lookin trout.
Ping pong balls for the win. Once you've wrestled everything else in life is easy. Dan Gable I keep my circle small, I’d rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies.
Ain’t easy havin pals.

What everyone else said. Catching trout or taking pictures of them you've got it figured out. I know Montana's not known for bass fishing but if you ever bass fish there or anywhere else give us a few photos.

I'm starting to realize why a trap shooting fishing nut buddy pulled up stakes here in WI. and went to live in Montana. His kid is a fishing guide out there and probably knows where some of those fish are lurking. Stunning pictures Big Sky. Sis lives out there and the brother and sister in laws too, so I suspect that it has some nice benefits.

Yep, bites cold here with frigid temps. I like them too and chomping at the bit for spring and most of the closed streams to open.
