You might call Dennis Baker at Baker Airguns. He repairs and does restorations on old airguns. I had him restore a '40s vintage Crossman and it looks and works like new.

Had mine resealed and Williams peep added at Precision Pellet in PA. Quick communication, turned it in a few days basically as soon as it arrived. I added the request for a peep and he turned that in an hour before shipping back. I haven’t shot it but based on what I see it’ll work well.

Tim McMurray, 3rd Generation Owner, Mac1 Airguns, out in California-----Specializes in Benjamin/Sheridans (among other things-airguns) from back in the day, one of the few who can silver solder that separated streak barrel (and if you are lucky enough to talk to him direct, will likely get a welcome lecture that you should have removed the rear sight and immediately replaced it with the Williams Peep sight since the way the rear sight is attached (w/wedges) on the streaks creates tension on the barrel causing it to separate (Cost savings and planned obsolescence, according to him), remove that rear sight and you likely will never have trouble with barrel separation (unless you use the wrong type scope mount) .

He specializes in "steroid streaks", and custom makes some of the original real/old school parts that Crossman discontinued/downgraded over the years for cost savings/planned obsolescence. I recommend him highly and have used him for years with my streaks. He is a busy guy/old school guy, but a real treat if you can get him on the phone (310/327-3582). Send him your streak, I can almost guarantee you will not be disappointed. See Below for information direct from his Mac1 airgun site.

2012 was the 80th year of the firm my grandfather Les McMurray founded in 1932. He was the first warranty center for the Crosman Airgun Company and when he went into semi-retirement in 1959 he wanted to do Airgun service for the rest of his days. He loved these little machines as much as I do and he was one of the best mechanics I've ever had the pleasure to learn from. His commitment to excellence planted a seed in my brain and I wasn't going to be satisfied until I followed in his footsteps. Coincident to the 80th anniversary of what was known as Les McMurray's Fin Fur and Feather is my 30th anniversary ownership of the firm now known as Mac1 Airgun Distributors."

Another vote for that Williams peep sight that nearly doubled the sighting radius of my old Silver Streak. As a youth I badgered my folks until they coughed up the $27.95 for a new Sheridan. A can of pellets and I’d disappear for days. Still have the thing and really like being able to regulate the power level from two pumps for a close range mouse load to ten for a magnum. Not that the old Sheridan could hold it’s own against the modern stuff, but it was always good enough. Good to know that a guy could still get parts if it ever quit working.

I have a blue streak that is about 23 years old that I need to send him for steroid treatment. What is his turn around time like?

I inherited a blue streak that needed help. Got Tim on the line and he counseled me in his direction. I was pleasantly surprised when my gun showed up back in my office in about a month. Super fun to have, I had no idea how much fun. I got the steroid treatment. Why wouldn't you?
