What degree would allow one the portability to do as you describe? I do believe one would be way AHEAD of the game if they were to “configure their education” in a way that gives them the flexibility to pull up stakes and move without worrying about forfeiting their careers or suffering a significant reduction in their standard of living.

The trades are a great way for young people to establish themselves in a career but I don’t know that other countries pay their tradesmen as well as they’re paid here.

If the past year has taught me anything it’s that the majority of Americans are extremely gullible and will do whatever it takes to fit in and to get along.

The majority of the people with Molon Labe and don’t tread on me stickers on their trucks will be the first one to call you crazy for bucking the system and the control, just so their neighbors will think they aren’t that guy.

I have zero confidence people that wear mask daily are going to do anything but say “he should have just followed the law”...

Unfortunately, they're already working on us from about every angle possible all at once. Short answer is, if they were stupid enough to go for total gun confiscation all at once here in the beginning, that would do it. Longer answer, instead, it seems like they're going for a merger of big business and government hand and hand. They've been weeding out the mom & pop businesses through covid, and thus they have to control a much smaller number of businesses. They work together for their mutual best interest, like no competition and share in the wealth. The the government doesn't have to make laws about things they want because big business just refuses to do business with you, and you have no other alternatives.

There's the ESJ (edited to say.. "ESG") score coming, in fact, I hear it's already happening, and if your score isn't high enough at some point in the future, oh say because you post negative things about the government, aren't environmentally friendly enough, own too many guns, etc,... well, maybe you won't have a bank account or credit card or Paypal anymore, and maybe you'll get laid off from your job and branded as an outcast. Also maybe you'll get kicked off of Facebook, Twitter, or any other way that you communicate, including shutting down forums like these, or conservative "hate talk" radio. I think all of my conservative friends and I have had oodles of our posts blocked or flagged, and been either suspended or banned on social network sites for daring to disagree with Covid or the elections, etc. Just look what they did to Parler. Deutsche bank has vowed to never do business with Donald Trump again. And if gun shops, firearms manufacturers, and ammunition makers are shut down thru new regulations or no bank accounts..

Meanwhile, the propaganda wing of the demoncrat party- the mainstream media- has been working on marginalizing conservatives and Trump voters into "kook" status by hammering on the "insurrection" for a couple months. Big players in Hollywood, congress, and the media have been making suggestions about taking names for reeducation. Oh, and they are already working on dropping the dollar from being the world standard currency- the John Kerry statement at the World Economic Conference. Anyway, these are just a few of the fronts they're working on to either intimidate us into silence/ inaction, or to pick us off one at a time in other ways.

The same as anywhere else,..STEM,....with the ability to read and write Cyrillic and speak the Slavic language of their choice.

Good responses. I have a question. In some ways civil war looks imminent. With that in mind what should we be doing right now now to be better prepared if it does happen?

I don't miss the point you're reading this wrong , I'm saying I think the vast majority of folks won't do anything because they've worked and made their lives very comfy . That's fine - I'm comfy myself but we can't let this Country incrementally slip into banana republic status .
I can't think of anyone I could depend on if I was being railroaded by the Govt.

As long as we sit on our butts and let the deep-state do what they're doing the worse it's going to get .

A case of many of us not seeing the forest for the trees?

Our country was founded and built by the refuse of other countries.

The strong, smart refuse that scratched their way out of a bad situation,
Got across an ocean, and scratched out a life. Raising their kids,
In a slightly better situation, but still to be strong. Physically, mentally,
and morally. That continued until post WWII. Those kids were raised
in a much better/easier world. And had it much better than their parents.
With a burning desire to make life easier still for their kids. It continues.


Rome died of suicide.
Life was too easy, entertainment and relaxation were the focus
of life. Not being industrious or increasing strength.

Today, we are told to forget industry.
Look at how we are taxed to build the amphitheatre for our
gladiators to compete in. Look at our focus on leisure pursuits.


I'm afraid the Americans of past are gone. We have built defeat
into our success.

40 years ago the things that have transpired in the last few years couldn't have
happened. Imagine an armed force taking over 6 blocks of a major
city in 1970. Over running a police station, putting up a fence and
declaring it their own country.

The WWII generation was still running things,
And they would have run right the F' over those punks.
And there wouldn't have been another riot. Anywhere.

I'm afraid there won't be a strong group stand up to fight the good fight.
There won't be a fight, until it's a fight of desperation.

This. Truth is "they" are way out numbered. A city of 500,000 may have 500 cops, or sheriff's officers, and some of them are jailers or support. I think with a little guerrilla warfare they would discover quickly they don't like that game. Same with the Armed forces. Maybe 100,000 actual fighting troops. They are way outnumbered as well. It wouldn't be pretty and no one wants it to come to that. It's the arseholes that pass the bills who need to be shot. But they will stay in their safe buildings. This is not something anyone wants, or wants to see, but it is something they are going to push on us.
