I gave a drilling to my life-long friend, along with dies and some brass. Does anyone have a set of 7X65R dies they're not using? I posted this search for dies in the classifieds, but I thought those who look here might be good prospects.

Cant you use a 7x64 die with a 7x65R shellholder? I thought it was just a rimmed version of the 7x64

They do work. I use regular 7X57 dies for 7X57R and 8X57 dies for 8X57JRS. Another good thing about the 7X64 & 7X65R is that 280 Remington 173-175gr starting loads often regulate well in drillings. In a pinch I shoot the rimless versions of these in my combo guns and tap the fired case out with a cleaning rod.

That’s what I do. 7x64 dies on eBay for 20 bucks. (Were when I bought mine)
