With all of the shortages I decided to evaluate where I sat, loaded, brass, powder and primers and felt more than good. I did stumble across of a couple thousand Speer 148 gr HBWC. So this M15-3 came home today.

Sweet! I've wanted to carry my Combat Masterpiece, but it's so nice, and I don't want to scratch it up! laugh

The Smith and Wesson model 15 really is a "Masterpiece".

Very nice. One of my favorites. Any thoughts about what leather you are going to pack in?

Looks really nice, Ed. Congrats.

Love the Combat Masterpiece. I have a 15-4.

The Combat Masterpiece is a great choice. Nice specimen, too. Clearly pre-82, by the pinned barrel. I've got one just like it with some old school sambar stag grips on it.

Ed,

Beautiful example of a great gun. You're going to enjoy this one.

My mom bought my dad a M15 as an anniversary present that he carried on duty. I later carried it as my first duty gun too so my opinion may be biased.

I liked the issue M-15s over the M-9 Berettas. We shot the M-15s DA only and they were smooth!

Nice pistol, Ed.
The 15 is a favorite of mine. Makes me look like I can actually shoot a handgun worth a schit, which is usually not the case.😆

Had one of my officers offer me his model 15 for $250 a couple years ago, I asked him if he was sure thats all he wanted. He said it was, I walked him across the street to an ATM before he changed his mind. They are sweet shooting guns. Nice find, an older Bianchi cross draw would look age appropriate 👍

EdM, what's a Combat Masterpiece like that one going for these days, given the higher prices??

Thanks.

This was a consignment gun that I gave $600 out the door.
