Does prvi put anything out for their bullets. I did a search but didn’t see anything. I bought a husqvarna 1640 in 8x57 and found some prvi bullets on grafs. Also purchased some 200gr nosler partitions. I can probably just interchange the data but I figured I would take the safer route and ask. If anybody has any good starting points for these bullets or calibers that would also be appreciated.

I've often wondered the same thing. I searched Privi Partisan website and came up empty. I'd personally follow data for the bullet weight itself and work up as usual observing pressure signs.

I developed a load with the 200gr Nosler earlier this year with Varget and IMR 4350. Both powders were super accurate but the data in the Nosler manual suggests the 4350 to exceed 2600 and I'm here to tell you it's impossible with that powder. I got more velocity with the Varget. In my rifle I got an avg velocity of 2566fps. The 4350 only netted 2438fps. Both loads were book max charge.

Nosler data seems to be listed higher than it normally delivers in my opinion. May be just me but it seems like that in the older Mauser calibers such as 8x57 and 7x57.

Got some 175 BTSP for the 8x57 made by Privi from Midway a few years back, bulk package..killed two deer with them. Worked well on both. Try them, but would assume their out of stock.

Sorry..didn`t answer the main question...In my 8x67, 24 inch Pac-Nor barrel, 51 grns of I 4320, or 50 grns. of I 4895 worked very well for me..Work up.

Bperdue, I have not used H4350 in my 8x57 personally but there is data on the Hodgdon Reloading Data Center page for a 200gr Speer. I've got almost 3 pounds of the Hodgdon variety but I usually reserve that for my 7x57, 280AckImp, and my sons 6.5creedmoor where it's better suited.

If you decide to try the H4350 in your rifle please report back with some accuracy and velocity stats if possible

Anyone used aa4064? Their pamphlet did not list it in 8x57 but is it close enough to IMR4064 to use? Must be some data somewhere.

Since bulk Remington 0.323" 185 CorLock bullets are no longer available I'm giving the Privi #B-128, 0.323 196gr soft point boolit a trial. Ordered some today which was kind of unusual as they were actually in stock!

The Remington 185 loaded to 2550 fps using 49 gr IMR4895 shot moa at 100 yard in my sported K98. Killed a nice buck, ~40 yard shot, took 13 steps and died. This old K98 has a very long tapering leade that keeps pressure spikes (I'm asserting this) gentle.

Though the long leade is not mentioned, reference Mike Venturino article HandLoader Mag. #318 February-March 2019. Mike has a good discussion for 8mm Mauser ammo, and a great load data table on page 37 where the Privi 198 FMJ boolit as well as 195-200 gr Hornady, Nosler, Speer, and Norma boolits were tested.

Using ballistic data from Privi web for their loaded ammo using this boolit I've extrapolated an approximate BC 0.36 for use in my ballistic calc app. Privi does not list a BC on their web.

I'll be starting the Privi trial with 48 gr IMR 4895. Goal is 2550 fps, and accuracy similar to the Remington. Then an expansion test with water jugs. Did the same water jug test with the Remington 185 and archived the recovered boolits. I did not recover the boolit used to kill Buck.

The Privi boolits are half the cost or better of Nosler, Hornady, and so forth.

Also, for Bperdue21, Venturino does list data for IMR4064 for Privi 198FMJ (46.0gr, 2383 fps). For Nosler 200gr Accubomb (46.0gr, 2414 fps).

From an old powder chart I have looks like IMR and AA4064 live next to each other.
117. Varget (Hodgdon)
118. 5000 (Vectan)
119. AR2208 (ADI)
120. 4064 (IMR)
121. 4064 XMR (Accurate)
122. 2520 (Accurate)
123. 4320 (IMR)
124. N203 (Norma)
125. N140 (Vihtavuori)
126. N540 (Vihtavuori)
127. 2700 (Accurate)
128. Big Game (Ramshot)
129. Reloader 15 (Alliant)
