Gents, a question on my part... Looking for a cull hunt and a "camping" trip for a couple to 3,4 weeks... Want to see the outback from a land cruiser, camp out in the bush, and do a "Malcolm" trip and give my 308 a workout ... It's one of my "bucket list" trips.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

That would be doable, although bringing your 308 with you could be the biggest problem. Other than that, you have the option of either hiring a Landcruiser from one of the agency's that specialise in 4x4's specially fitted out for the job, or you could check out the tour operators who could take you out. There's an awful lot of the outback. I know this because I spent a fair bit of time working out there. In the sort of time frame you mention you could cover a fair bit of ground, but you'd need to be fairly specific as to where you wanted to go.
Cull hunts for water buffalo and pigs can be arranged through guides out of Darwin in the Northern Territory. They could help you regarding the use of fire arms. Other hunts on the eastern seaboard can be arranged from Brisbane, usually involves hunting Red deer. There are plenty of options. But as usual it often depends on how deep your pockets are.

We did this very trip in 2011 with Simon Kyle-Little. Awesome wilderness hunt. If travel wasn't such a bitch I'd do it again.

Thank you gentlemen for the replies... I’ll look into SKL and see what’s available
