I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

I've got a low round count Colt cm65(6.5 creedmoor) that they only made a few of. Not planning on selling but nevertheless I do hope the value trends upwards.

I just can't get my head around anything like ARs or Glocks being "collectible". They're strictly tools to me.

The numbers made before the buyout are in the millions. For decades.
The more common something is, as in overall numbers, the less "collector" value it will have.
Colt has whored out the name brand for awhile now.

Colt has whored out the name brand for awhile now. Very true! But people are weird and collect, find value in some pretty crazy things.

My in laws had 10,000 individual sets of salt and pepper shakers on display. Took up an entire room in their house. Collecting glocks and AR’s doesn’t seem that weird to me.

I remember going to the Wannemacher gun show shortly after the first AR ban and seeing a guy with a green labeled 6520 for $2000. Back then it was extremely high all because it had a low shelf and no sear block. I don’t know if it ever sold but people have their reasons.

I'm glad mine doesn't have one..

So I read on a Colt forum last night that there were between 200-250 of the cm65's like I have produced. How might one go about confirming this?

Roger that Uphiker, I'll reach out to them. Hopefully they're still reachable in the midst of CZ taking the reins.

I hope so. I just consigned two pre-ban R6700 Competition HBARs last Saturday to the LGS. Still holding on to a pre-ban R6530 lightweight carbine.

Sounds like a great collection of some dandy rifles. I damned near bought an H bar a few months ago for $1,100.00 it was a pre ban without the sear block. I'm still kicking myself in the azz for not buying it. I figured my light barreled colt shoots well enough for the small time comps around here, but a heavy barrel would be cool as chidt.. That way I don't have to pull my Noveske out and embarrass anyone...
