Been looking at a Win 1885 45-70 bpcr made in 2009 that is new in box.

It has no sights with it.

Any recommendations for sights?

This ol' fardt is not new to 1885's but new to the bpcr game and trying to learn a lot quickly before the gun is gone....

If it's the BPCR model with a tang, get a MVA. Depending on what your planning to shoot if silhouette/midrange target rifle then go with the midrange buffalo soul, creedmoor then the long range buffalo soul. Get a Baldwin front sight, or just go to Baldwin in either the on both ends if this is your only bpcr.

Yep, it is the BPCR model with I believe a Badger barrel in 30 inch.

Will take a look at the Baldwin sights.

Got to see if it will all fit in the "toy" fund. If I get it it may take a bit to put it all together...dies, sights, etc...

My 38-55 wears the MVA sport tang since it's way easier to use especially in hunting scenarios than a standard knob twister.. I use a Swiss file to notch the staff for my hunting ranges then its simple just loosen the aperture and slide up or down to your range marks...
